Natural Hair Care Dread Journey: Dreads, Locs & Dandruff Oh My!

Hello there my lovely readers

For those of you have been following and keeping up with me since the blog started my hair has been a couple of ways. After I did box braids nearly 3-4 years ago I made the decision before getting them to put in to finally go natural. At the time I had not had the "creamy crack" {relaxer} in a few months anyway and it was getting time to make a decision to go get something done or not.

I decided to go with the yarn braids which my sister always put in for me and I wore those for a year and a half i think. I finally did the big chop after transitioning  for nearly a year. I finally made the decision to get Locs after being on the fence for a while.

Team USA

I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives.  I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him.  ~Abraham Lincoln

After being pregnant I developed a strong relationship with sneakers. I already have wide feet, but once I hit that 7 month marker my feet were so swollen and large sneakers are all I ever wore for comfort, flip flops were not enough, I went from wearing them strictly for workout to wearing them very frequently with outfits. I am now always on the lookout for some cute popping sneakers, I especially love prints and neon bottoms.

Mommy Files: 3 things I do daily to care for my infants hair

I having been wanting to share some insider experiences and tips as a new young hip and cool mom to a rambunctious little boy. So I will be featuring these tidbits regularly on the blog and have deemed them "Mommy Files". This first one today I have been wanting to share for a while....

Its a funny thing having a son with a head full of hair, just like how his parents were when we were born.
Believe it or not, I learned a valuable lesson, when my son was four and a half months old.... Now I only have experience with my son, but  I realized how important developing a hair care routine was very important for my son. Hair Care is something very important for adults but also infants, and certainly not limited to females.
