Natural Hair Care Dread Journey: Dreads, Locs & Dandruff Oh My!
Hello there my lovely readers
For those of you have been following and keeping up with me since the blog started my hair has been a couple of ways. After I did box braids nearly 3-4 years ago I made the decision before getting them to put in to finally go natural. At the time I had not had the "creamy crack" {relaxer} in a few months anyway and it was getting time to make a decision to go get something done or not.
I decided to go with the yarn braids which my sister always put in for me and I wore those for a year and a half i think. I finally did the big chop after transitioning for nearly a year. I finally made the decision to get Locs after being on the fence for a while.

I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives. I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him. ~Abraham Lincoln
After being pregnant I developed a strong relationship with sneakers. I already have wide feet, but once I hit that 7 month marker my feet were so swollen and large sneakers are all I ever wore for comfort, flip flops were not enough, I went from wearing them strictly for workout to wearing them very frequently with outfits. I am now always on the lookout for some cute popping sneakers, I especially love prints and neon bottoms.

Mommy Files: 3 things I do daily to care for my infants hair
I having been wanting to share some insider experiences and tips as a new young hip and cool mom to a rambunctious little boy. So I will be featuring these tidbits regularly on the blog and have deemed them "Mommy Files". This first one today I have been wanting to share for a while....
Its a funny thing having a son with a head full of hair, just like how his parents were when we were born.
Believe it or not, I learned a valuable lesson, when my son was four and a half months old.... Now I only have experience with my son, but I realized how important developing a hair care routine was very important for my son. Hair Care is something very important for adults but also infants, and certainly not limited to females.

How To:DIY Super Easy and Cheap Animal Necklace
I'm always thinking about creating. My future starts when I wake up every morning... Every day I find something creative to do with my life.Miles Davis
Omgosh I have been wanting to share the DIY for sometime, lets face it...what has been holding me up was actually finishing it lol. I did the first half nearly 2 weeks apart from completing the entire necklace.
Yes Yes if you are on Pintrest how many times have u seen these cuties made as keyrings, and etc. I loved it when I saw it and knew exactly what I wanted to do when I scored this eraser dinosaur pack for $1 from target on clearance.
You may not know this about me, but I love DIY stuff and crafts. I have not had much time to really get back into it since North was born, but slowly but surely I have found my supplies still packed up from when I moved to our new place...sad. I scored a laptop table from goodwill this week that is just the right size for doing some crafts, jewelry in particular. So lets get to the good stuff shall we?

Thrifting Thursdays:3 things to never buy from the Thrift Store
Welcome to another Thursday Edition of my thrifting tips.... I love thrift shopping, used shopping, flea market crawling whatever you may call it. I have been doing this for some years now. I am no expert or guru, but I have been there done that on many used things and wasted money is wasted money no matter how much something cost. Here are a few things I chose to not purchase used for various reasons. Of course in the end it is your choice and based on your perception of the item, but use this as a helpful guide for thrift shopping. The second installment will be the 3 things I always buy from the thrift store, lookout for that next week.
